TEMOVATE^® (clobetasol propionate)

TEMOVATE Cream (clobetasol propionate cream), 0.05%, TEMOVATE E Cream (clobetasol propionate emollient cream) Emollient, 0.05%, TEMOVATE Gel (clobetasol propionate gel), 0.05%, and TEMOVATE Ointment (clobetasol propionate ointment), 0.05% are all super-high-potency (Class I) corticosteroids for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

TEMOVATE Scalp Application (clobetasol propionate scalp application), 0.05% is a highly potent (Class I) corticosteroid for short-term topical treatment of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of moderate-to-severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses of the scalp.

Treatment should be limited to 4 consecutive weeks in plaque-type psoriasis and 2 consecutive weeks in other indications. In plaque-type psoriasis, application should be limited to 10% of body surface area. The total dosage should not exceed 50g per week because of the potential for TEMOVATE E to suppress the HPA axis. TEMOVATE E should not be used on the face, groin, or axillae or with occlusive dressings and is not recommended for children under 16 years of age for plaque-type psoriasis and under 12 years of age for other indications.
